Dr. Tatiana Saburova is a Lecturer in the Department of History at Indiana University and a former Co-Director of the Russian Studies Workshop in Indiana University. She has written books about the Russian intellectuals in the 19^th century and revolutionary Populism, and she has published articles on education, history and memory in Imperial and Soviet Russia. She specializes in visual and cultural Russian history and her current research focuses on photography, cartography, and exploration in the Russian empire’s borderlands.
