Dan Caner’s recent book, The Rich and the Pure: Philanthropy and the Making of Christian Society in Early Byzantium (UC Press, 2021) was featured in a February issue of the New York Review of Books: https://www.nybooks.com/articles/2022/02/10/the-other-rome-peter-brown/

Deborah Deliyannis attended (in person!) the Medieval Academy of America's annual conference in Charlottesville, VA, where she presented a talk on "Solomon’s Temple in the Early Middle Ages: Splendor and Ephemerality," and was inducted as a Fellow of the Medieval Academy.

Julia Roos' article, “Die ‘farbigen Besatzungskinder’ der zwei Weltkriege,“ appeared in Aus Politik und Zeitgeschichte vol. 72, no. 12, issue theme, “Schwarz und Deutsch“ (21 March 2022): 11-18. Aus Politik und Zeitgeschichte is edited by the Federal Agency for Civic Education (Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung) in the German Ministry of the Interior and appears online and in print, in conjunction with Das Parlament, a periodical edited by the German parliament (Bundestag). On March 10, Mark Roseman gave the 2022 annual Holocaust Memorial lecture, jointly organized by the Holocaust Education Trust, Ireland, and University College, Dublin on: “The Meeting, the Minutes – and Mass Murder. The Wannsee Conference 80 years on.”
