Eric Robinson, together with co-authors from the School of Education, published "Designing sustained game-based learning environments to engage undergraduate students in history," in the Rapid Community Reports series for the International Society of Learning Sciences. The paper discusses reflections on the learning experiences of students in two iterations of Robinson's Cities on the Edge of War course in which they played an immersive role-playing strategy game about the ancient Peloponnesian War. Kalani Craig assisted in the game design discussed in the article (available at https://repository.isls.org/handle/1/6855).

Rebecca Spang’s essay “China and the Money Question” (reviewing Mae Ngai’s The Chinese Question, Jin Xu’s The Empire of Silver, and Austin Dean, China and the End of Global Silver) was published today in the Los Angeles Review of Books.
