Liza Black gave an invited talk "What is a Western?" with the Gene Autry Museum of the American West on September 1 (watch it here). On October 5, she spoke on "Indigenous Feminist Viewpoints on Citizenship and Suffrage" for the Women in Government Panel, Indiana University.

2020 Ph.D. Stephen Buono published an op-ed in The Hill on NASA’s newly minted Artemis Accords. You can read it here.

Ph.D. Candidate Asher Lubotzky wrote about the context and interests behind the recent shifts in Israeli-Sudanese relations. It was published by the Moshe Dayan Center (Tel Aviv University).

Jakobi Williams gave a book talk for Triton College on October 21 entitled "Long Live Chairman Fred: Legacy of the Original Rainbow Coalition".


Ellen Wu was recently quoted in a story about Asian Americans and COVID 19 in USA Today and "Kamala Harris and the History of Trying to Define 'Asian American'" in NBC News. On Monday October 26, she will be delivering UC Berkeley Law School's annual Neil Gotanda Lecture in Asian American Jurisprudence, hosted by Asian American Law Journal.

Graduate student Shouyue Zhang’s essay, “We Won’t Move,” has won this year’s New York Archives Magazine essay competition. The article, about successful tenant resistance in New York’s Chinatown, will appear in the magazine’s upcoming winter issue.
