- Dr. Alvita Akiboh, who graduated from IU, AB with Honors in History, in 2013, has accepted a tenure line position in the History Department at Yale University, after declining offers from Michigan and Wisconsin. As a graduate student at Northwestern she managed to devise a research topic that required her to visit archives in the US Virgin Islands, Hawai’i, American Samoa, Guam, the Philippines, and Puerto Rico. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Michigan.
