  • On November 7-8, Maria Bucur participated in a workshop co-hosted in Philadelphia by the World Bank and University of Pennsylvania on “Social Impacts of Post-Socialist Transition and Policies for the Future.” On November 11 she participated in the “Writings on the Wall” event on the Bloomington campus commemorating the 30th anniversary of the end of state socialism in Eastern Europe.
  • Jeff Gould has received a New Frontiers Exploratory Travel Fellowship for Dawn to Despair: A Film Proposal.
  • On November 7 Mark Roseman took part in the annual Academic Advisory Council Meeting of the Memorial Foundation Buchenwald and Mittelbau Dora, held on the site of the Buchenwald concentration camp, near Weimar, Germany.
