- Ed Linenthal recently did an interview with VOX, "How museums are quietly resisting President Trump". He also delivered a public lecture on the creation of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum at IUPUI on April 24th.
- Pedro Machado gave a talk on April 20, "An Ocean Deep: Labour, Capital and the Pearling Networks of the Indian Ocean," at the University of California, Davis, as part of theReimagining Indian Ocean Worlds Mellon Research Initiative hosted by the Humanities Institute.
- Eric Sandweiss presented at the Material World of Modern Segregation workshop at Washington University in St. Louis, on April 21-22.
- Tara Saunders (PhD 2016) has accepted a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of History position at Manchester University (Indiana).
- Rebecca Spang's essay, "Questions for Cash: Private money, offshore capitalism, and the problematic influence of gender on our banking system" is the lead review in the April 21, 2017 TLS (Times Literary Supplement). In it, she reviews Ann Pettifor's The Production of Money and Daniel Lord Smail's Legal Plunder, among other works.
