Tatiana Saburova presented a paper "Seeing Turkestan from Siberia: Semirechie between Past and Future in Photographs of Vasilii Sapozhnikov" at the panel "Painting and Photographing Imperial Russia: Visual Histories of Time and Space" in the ASEEES annual convention online on December 1, 2021 and she also organized and chaired a roundtable "Searching for Siberia: Interdisciplinary Approaches and Transnational Perspectives" at the ASEEES annual convention in-person in New Orleans on November 18, 2021.

Ellen Wu contributed a short piece on the history of Japanese Americans in Chicago, to Chicago Exposed: Defining Moments from the Chicago Sun-Times Photo Archive, just out by City Files Press in association with the Chicago History Museum, eds. Richard Cahan and Michael Williams.
