In conjunction with Phoebe Wolfskill (American Studies) and Rasul Mowatt (American Studies), Alex Lichtenstein has been awarded a $25,000 IU Public Humanities Project grant for "Unmasked: The Antilynching Exhibits of 1935."
Devi Mays, 2013 PhD in History and Jewish Studies, has received the National Jewish Book Award for Sephardic Culture for her book, Forging Ties, Forging Passports: Migration and the Modern Sephardi Diaspora (Stanford University Press, 2020). She is Assistant Professor of Judaic Studies at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
